I have been in a relationship with a guy for almost a yr. I am constantly have to be around his ex and listen to all of their past trips, etc (they have been divorced for over 10yrs but are friends). Also, there is another woman that has two children that are his who use to live with him but now don’t. He has tons of women friends that are either texting or emailing. He doesn’t show me any affection, he isn’t that into sex and tells me that he needs space, etc. He is a good guy, but shows interest and attention to others but not me. We are living together and I don’t know if this relationship is worth all of the emptiness. How do I get his attention?

You’re asking me two completely different questions. The first question — how do you get his attention — has to do with making him feel great about himself! You can get lots of information on how to do this in the book I wrote for women who want to find, get and keep the guy, called Think & Date Like A Man. It’s available for purchase for $8.99 as an e-book here: https://www.askapril.com/relationship-dating-advice/think-and-date-like-a-man.html. So if you want to know how to get a guy’s attention, this book will help you. 😉

However, you list a lot of other parts of the relationship that you feel are the reasons you’re having trouble getting his attention, and what you really need to do is to decide if this guy is interested in a committed relationship, or if you’re just a place holder until he finds Ms. Right. If you’ve been living together for a year and he doesn’t show you affection, doesn’t want sex, and is asking for space, all the while engaging with lots of other women, it really doesn’t sound like he’s all that into you. 😕
