I dont have a huge amount of money but the ring I bought for my GF the other day she said was to small so that was disappointing and now I don’t know what to do. So, what’s your opinion?

AnonymousMember #382,293That must have been embarrassing. 😳 I think that was pretty rude of her to say.🙄 Maybe you should re-evaluate your relationship.💡 Is it about mutual love and respect or is it about what you can give her?😕 April 22, 2011 at 11:07 pm #19335I think you already posted this question and I gave you suggestions on other ways to get a great ring on a budget. Some of them included buying her beautiful earrings instead of a ring — a piece of jewelry to seal an engagement doesn’t have to be a ring. Another way to get more bling for your buck is to offer to upgrade the ring on each five year anniversary. Heirloom jewelry that belonged to your relatives, like a grandmother or a great aunt, is a lovely way to pass down a traditional piece of jewelry without breaking your bank. If your girlfriend loves you and wants to marry you, but wants more bling, and this is the ONLY problem in your relationship, you can sulk about having disappointed her, or get to work and start understanding that relationships require compromises. If this disappointment is the last straw, then reevaluate the relationship, but if it’s something you didn’t know about her and everything else is great, bend a little.
