Okay so I liked this guy and we had mutual friends, we met once at a party and he seemed to think I was funny while still taking me seriously which I liked, the next time we met we talked a bit at another party which was casual and I found out his girlfriend had just broken up with him from a friend. Flash forward to the next party my drunken friend went up to him and told him he should go for me which he responded with “No, I’m good”. The last time I saw him was at another party a couple days ago where he seemed to be acting douchy and not very friendly which was fine I was just not going to approach but stupidly I got way too drunk and later on in the evening went up to him and asked if he would fight me because I really wanted to fight him to which he responded with something along the lines of “What the f is going on here”. I’m pretty embarrassed about the situation and the next night my friend was going to a party and the guy asked if I was going and when my friend said no he said “Thank god” which I think is reasonable because he’s obviously thinking I’m crazy now. So I sent him an apology message saying I couldn’t really remember and felt really bad and he messaged me back saying it was all good. I know this guy is so not interested in me and it’s a good time to walk away before I do anything else embarrassing but I still really like the guy and am tempted to offer to buy him a drink or dinner to make it up to him. Is this a terrible idea? Should I just cut my losses now or is there anything else I can do? Thanks so much for your advice

He’s not interested and he’s made that super clear. Not everyone you like will be. And not everyone who likes you will win your attention, either. So yes, cut your losses and move on. And find someone new who is interesting and interested in you. 😉
