Member #147,546First of all I would like to apologize in advance if the whole background story is a little long but I hope all these details can help. Anyways I am currently a student at a pretty small private university and I am in 2 weeks into my final quarter before graduating. As such I do not have many courses that I have to take and am therefore retaking some courses over to raise my overall GPA. For one of these classes it is a 3 hour laboratory class that is full of freshman or sophomores and it only meets once a week. During the first week I ended up meeting this in that class girl purely on accident. I never really had any intentions or interest in meeting anyone but it just turned out to be that way. We were both working on the same lab desk together and I just asked her whether or not she was observing the same things that I was when it came to getting results as I just wanted to compare. It just so happened she turned out to be terribly lost with the entire experiment where I then just offered to help her just because I saw that she needed some help. Long story short, in that first meeting we kind of ended up hitting it off where I was helping her out understanding the lab. After we were both done I thought that would be the end of it and that we would go our separate ways however that was not the case. She had no idea where to turn in our labs or where other things were and this is when I found out that she was new on campus. So I showed her where she had to turn everything in and how everything works. After that she asked if I was going to work on the online quiz right now and I told her I was planning to do it when I get home and she just told me how she had no idea how to access it so was wondering if I had time to show her. Considering that we finished early and I still had 2 hours before my next class I decided just to help her out knowing how she must have been feeling when I was new on campus. So we went to the library to work on something that only took about 5 minutes but spent the entire 2 hours with each other just talking and getting to know each other, or in other words become friendly and comfortable. I gave her some tips on everything on campus and on what classes she should take since she had the same major as me. I told her I could e-mail her some of my old notes and before I could get out a piece of paper for her to write it down she just asked for my number and told me she would text it to me. So in the process not only did I get her e-mail but her number. Overall it was a really nice experience and it was in that moment was when I started to get a little bit attracted to her. Then came this past week when we met again for the second time but this time it was a take home lab so after we had our pre-lab we were dismissed. But instead of going home she came up to me and asked if I wanted to work on the lab with her which I said sure. She was then like first I’m gonna to go to the financial aid office to turn some papers in first. I told her that’s cool and I’ll just meet her in the library in the same place we worked last time. I said this because I did not want to give off any signs that would make her think that I was desperate that would go anywhere she went or that I was interested in her when I didn’t know if she was interested in me. However, in a way, she kind of begged me to walk with her telling me it was going to be really quick so I just said ok and so we just walked and talked more about our personal lives such as family, friends and what we did over the weekend with nothing really related to school. Later ended up going to the library again this time getting a private study room where we worked on the lab, talked and I helped her out. Soon it was time for us to both go to class and she then asked me when I had class and we both found out after our next class we had the same 1 hour break. She asked if she wanted to meet me up during the break to help her print things out since she never did that before and I told her sure why not and she told me I’ll text you which she did asking where I was and we both met up. At this moment I thought that ok maybe the interest is one way in that I like her and that she is just using me to help. But the thing is that what she had to do only took like 2 minutes and the whole time we were talking and she was all touchy-feely with me touching my thighs, my arms and my shoulders while smiling and making eye contact. In total, with just these two times we met we spend about 9 hours together just the two of us. Ok, so that is the whole back story and again my apologies for it being so long but my question is fairly simple! So far from what I have learned from her I figured out she does not have a boyfriend and that we have a ton of things in common. With that, when would be the right time to ask her out or if I should even do it at all. I know next week that we do not have lab so I don’t meet up with her again but I was planning on during our hour gap to text her whether she was on campus, although I assume she will be, and asking her if she wants to meet up and then try to ask her out. Is this too soon? Should I just wait to gauge her interest? Is there anything else I should that would help in this situation? Thank you for your time and patients for reading this! I really appreciate it!

April Masini, your AskAprilKeymasterYou should bite the bullet and ask her out on a date. She likes you. You like her. It’s time for you to make a move. 😉 Ask her if she’d like to have lunch with you or dinner one night the following week.🙂 -
