I have been dating my boyfriend for a few weeks now, when we first started dating he was really sweet to me all the time and he made me feel so special. And since the beginning of last week he hasn’t been sweet anymore. He still calls me “babe” and “dear” and such but no more sweet texts about how much he cares about me or anything. I try to be sweet to him and he appreciates it, sometimes he doesn’t notice. He’s already said that he’s falling in love with me more and more each day so I don’t think a break up is coming. I just don’t know what happened.

Why is he acting like this? What happened? Should I be worried? What should I do?

It sounds like the honeymoon period is ending — he may still like you a lot and want to be your boyfriend, but you’re getting to know who he is after the first few weeks of dating. This is natural, and you get to decide if you want to stay or not. Dating is a process of getting to know someone and deciding if he’s Mr. Right or not, so pay attention! All relationships have ups and downs, so hang tight and hang in, but don’t commit before you have a good idea of what he’s going to be like as a long term boyfriend.
