So i am a 24 year old female, my boyfriend is 31. We have been dating for two and a half years now. He is my first boyfriend. He is the most amazing guy ever! He would do absolutely anything for me, and i love him to death! I met him five years ago and i fell for him as soon as i laid eyes on him:) He is the best. So you are probably wondering what my problem is. Here it is. Although the emotion is there, and i am physically attracted to him, i am having a hard time kissing him… I can kiss him for like maybe 20/30 seconds… and then i push him away, and if i don’t push him away he ends up stopping because he can feel how tense i am. I am so scared to lose him… i don’t know what to do???? What is wrong with me?

If you can kiss him for 30 seconds, then try kissing him for a series of 30 second kisses. You can take little breaks between the kisses, and you may find that that helps alleviate your tension. I’m not sure from your post what you feel that makes you break away after 30 seconds, and that would help to know.

So, see if you can work up to six 30 second kisses, and see how that goes for you.

That’s the problem… he is my first boyfriend. I have never been raped or anything… He isn’t my first kiss though… when i was five in school we were in line to go to the bathroom, and the little boy behind me tapped me on the shoulder… when i turned around he kissed me… i hated him from that moment on…. but that was almost twenty years ago now…. that wouldn’t have anything to do with it would it??? I am also extremely shy… if that makes any difference…

Do what I suggested, and let me know how that goes. If you’re 24 years old, as you write, and you love this guy to death, then try kissing him for a series of six kisses, each one up to 30 seconds a kiss. Try it! 🙂
