Hi April I have a general conundrum recently I’ve reconnected with a woman that I graduated high school with and asked her on a date which she said yes to (just grabbing a beer or two) but she canceled last minute which has happened to me a lot in the past. My question is should I keep trying to take her out or should I move on?

In response to your specific question, yes, you should ask her out again, but this time, do it differently. Instead of asking her to grab a beer, casually, instead, invite her to dinner on a specific day, and make a specific time to pick her up. That way, you’ll have a better idea if she’s rejecting you or rejecting the casualness of the date, which may make her feel that you’re just scheduling her in where it’s convenient, instead of making a special evening to get to know her better because you’re more serious. 😉

But what you didn’t ask about and only alluded to, was a pattern of women canceling dates on you. 😕 If you want to address this issue, then you should really look at the way you’re asking women out on dates, and see if there’s room for change. It’s great that you see this pattern, because it gives you the opportunity to decide if you want to change the way you ask them out, the places you invite them to, the casualness of the invitation that may or may not make them feel special or not, etc. So, my advice is to use this opportunity to see if you can get a better yield as to the women you’re asking out and then the women you’re actually getting dates with. 🙂
