My bestfriend who is like a sister to me is engaged and she says her relationship is lacking the intimacy that it used to have. She’s not entirely positive if she’s happy anymore. She has also informed me that lately her & her fiancé have been bickering more often and he has been getting irritated with her more often. As she’s told me whenever she asks what it is that she does to irritate him either he says he doesn’t know at that moment or he doesn’t want to tell her in order to spare her feelings. She’s been in contact with an ex that she is still really good friends with who wants to try their relationship again due to the fact that it didn’t work when they were younger. She’s utterly confused about what she should do and she’s too embarrassed to ask for herself so I’m asking for her. Thank you in advance for any advice or help that you’re able to provide.
A man who doesn’t know why he’s getting irritated, or who isn’t telling the truth for fear of “showing his heart”, isn’t ready yet. Marriage isn’t about “spare feelings”, it’s about telling the truth and solving problems together. If there’s no peace before marriage, then there’ll be only drama after marriage.
