I’ve know this guy for nearly two years, and we’re good friends even though he lives quite a distance from me. We really get on and have lots in common and I began to fall for him. He knows how I used to feel, and said he doesn’t want a relationship, because of where we met (a camp). Everything is good now. I got over my feelings and everything is fine, but now I realise I’m beginning to like him again.

A few weeks back we were talking on facebook, and he randomly wrote I love you. He did again a few days later, and I don’t know quite what to think. He also calls me darling sometimes, so I’m a bit mystified if he likes me or not. By the way, we’re 18 and 17. I kind of convince myself that he may fall for me, even though he did say he didn’t want a relationship. We could also end up going to the same college, so that might affect things. Do I even have a chance with him?

Can you shed some light, thanks!

If he lives far away from you — what’s the point? It’s not like you’ll get to date or hang out on a regular basis. In fact, you may like him because deep down, you know he’s safe because he’s so far away so there’s no chance of a real life relationship.

My advice is to look for guys who are geographically desirable! I’m pretty sure he’s doing the same thing.

I hope that helps. Join me @AskAprilcom on Twitter, and on Facebook: .
