I have a best friend of 2 years. She wanted to buy us bff necklaces. I found some I liked so I bought them. She has 1/2 heart & I have 1. Well she got a new bf 2 weeks ago. She has been ignoring me & not being a friend at all. & I recently saw her & instead of the 1/2 heart on her necklace she had his army dog tags hanging from it. I felt disrespected. Would it be wrong for me to ask for the necklace back ?

Yes, it would be wrong. When you give someone a gift, it should be a complete gesture. If you don’t like the way someone is behaving, you can stop interacting with them, but asking for a gift back isn’t good manners, and it may make you feel better in the short run, but it won’t make you feel better in the long run. The real reason you’re upset is because your best friend of two years has moved on and doesn’t want to be best friends with you any more. It’s understandable that you’re hurt, but it doesn’t mean you should exhibit bad manners because you’re hurt. 😉 Take your half of the necklace off and put it in a drawer. Buy yourself something new to wear that doesn’t involve your friend. 😉

    I hope that helps!
