I just don’t know what to do. I was dating this guy for 9 years. We broke things off in January 2009, b/c from 2004 – 2008 he was seening & living with another female. At that point I wasn’t trying to get invovled with another guy. I decided to work on me (emotionally, spiritually and physcially). I felt like I could no longer trust guys. 😳
I began to hang out with a guy right after Thanksgiving. We see each other atleast 3 times a week. We have so much fun together. We’ve talked about past relationships. He has opened up more to me then I have to him. I know about his hurts from previous relationships. As a result he doesn’t trust easily. I too fell the same way. However we are opening up more and more ever time we get together. We are building a great friendship! There isn’t a topic we don’t discuss. I am beginning to really like this individual and I want it to go to an excusive relationship. Should I tell him what I am feeling or wait it out?

Don’t tell him how you feel — show him. Telling him how you feel puts you in the driver’s seat and when it comes to dating, men want to be the ones behind the wheel so don’t take that opportunity away from him. Instead, use your feminine mystique and your charm and allure to flirt with him and make him feel like he wants more from you than just friendship. He’ll ask you out and he’ll be the one to steer the relationship from friendship to romance.

    I hope that helps! 🙂

Since you have an open conversation and strong friendship, sharing your feelings can help to move forward. you both had been hurt in the past so building trust again slowly is okay. let him know that you enjoy being together. keeping communication open can help you both feel safe
