Member #183,406Hey there,
So there’s this guy and I met him through work we both work crazy hours and we met through a friend of mine who also works with us. He asked me (and our mutual friend) to lunch. I went. It was fun we had drinks shared work stories had a good time. We both have kids and have a lot in common.
I found out he has a girlfriend. They dated of and on and he found out she cheated on him so they separated for a few months but they’re back together now.
He invites us (our mutual friend and myself) out to lunch again this week and I went he brought his kids and we all had lunch and played angry birds on the iPad. He hasn’t hit on me per se but he laughs at everything I say and he’s so nice to me and he’s smart and we have great chemistry but I just don’t know how to handle this.
He’s divorced and I’m divorced and he keeps inviting me to do things like he wants us to go to dinner tomorrow but he invites another mutual friend of ours. I just don’t get it. Its like I’m getting mixed signals.
I could just be acting my gender here but what the heck dude. I know he has a hot ass girlfriend but why all the activities together? What should i do…I’d like to date him alone not with friends lol HELPDesperately seeking April,

Member #183,406I think I should also mention that, I am 99% positive he knows I am attracted to him since our big mouthed friend (the one he keeps inviting to lunch with us) basically told him in a not so direct way but he cant be that stupid. Not that, that fact really matters that much. But anyway It was just a thought. August 10, 2012 at 5:31 pm #23825
April Masini, your AskAprilKeymasterHe isn’t happy with his on and off girlfriend, and he’s looking to see what’s out there. He likes you; you like him. If the relationship grows to the point where it’s clearly romantic, you can decide whether or not you want to continue seeing him because he’s dating someone else. It’s good to know, however, that he’s dating other people, so you can keep from getting too involved too soon. 😉 Everyone likes to be liked! Member #183,406HI APRIL! I feel so lucky to have your advice. Thank you 😀 He has NEVER asked for my phone number. Ever. We email. His current girlfriend has not met his kids either, yet I have….it strikes me as odd.
For instance today I emailed and said “who’s comging tonight?”
He replied “me, u and “our mutual friend…” (for privacy)
And I said “Oh okay…” (because usually he invites our other mutual friend)
and he replied “Should we invite someone else? I mean, were pretty damn awesome!!”
and i said “I was about to write you back and be like “with that attitude maybe I WONT come”
You dont want me, you want “our mutual friend” LOL
He wrote back “Lmao!!”
and I wrote back “See cant even deny it.
Maybe Ill go drink alone then.”
Then he said “Your coming, END OF STORY!!”
and I said “We’ll see.
Maybe Ill surprise you and be defiant just because I can. lol😉 “
then he said : “Save it…. See u there!😉 “Its like I dont get it at all. Why does he act like this? Its like he wants to hang out with me in his words, but I just dont feel it. Am I being too female/irrational/over-thinking it?
I dont know what to do…sit around and wait for him to ask me out? (I do not mean stop dating other people – but I mean just see) or do I do something different?

Member #183,406We went to dinner tonight he made some eye contact nothing serious and didn’t really even talk directly to me that much. What the heck?! August 13, 2012 at 2:10 pm #25669
April Masini, your AskAprilKeymasterHe may just value you as a good friend. No eye contact and not talking to you directly, doesn’t indicate his romantic interest. 😳 I never suggest that men and women be friends because as you’re finding out, one person usually has stronger feelings than the other and confusion ensues.
Since you read
Think & Date Like A Man , follow the rules in the book and you’ll have a lot more clarity in your life.😉 Everyone likes to be liked! If the advice you found on AskApril.com was helpful “like” us on FB — and tell a friend!
