I’ve had three boyfriends before but none of them lasted a year because I always ended up breaking up with them after finding out there was another woman. Now there’s someone courting me, we’re the same age, both 24 years old and he seems okay—thoughtful and caring. I think I might be starting to like him too, because when he doesn’t text me, I miss him and I really look forward to hearing from him. But I’m still unsure whether I should enter a relationship again or not, because it might just end in another breakup and I could get hurt again.
My question is: How do I trust again in a relationship?

If it happens again, that’s just how it is—just accept it. It only means they weren’t really meant for you. That’s normal, and there’s nothing wrong with it. What’s important is that after every breakup, you learn from what caused it and from your mistakes so you can become a better person in your next relationships and in life.

Don’t stop trying, and you’re sure to find someone who you can be with for the long term.

That’s just how it is—if it ends in a breakup, you’ll get hurt, but that’s part of life and being in a relationship. Now, if you’re afraid of feeling that pain, then it might be better for you to stay single instead.

If you’ve been hurt before, what you need to do is learn from your past relationships. If you always struggle with trust, then maybe it’s better not to have a boyfriend for now.

Because honestly, only you can answer your question—it’s all about emotions, and you’re the only one who can control them.
