I don’t think you’re confused as much as you’re disappointed. Sometimes people who sense rejection try to look for every inch of possibility that a relationship is still alive and they write me saying that they’re confused. The confusion is what they’re hoping for. The rejection is the reality. I think this guy knows that you like him, and the ball is in his court. If he’s not ready to date, or he’s not that into you, you’re going to get more of the same that you’ve been getting. If he’s ready, he’ll invite you to do something. I think you should let this one go. If you have contact with him be flirtatious and let him know you’re still interested…. but be realistic about his limitations (whether they’re family rules, his own feelings, or his inexperience).
