I’m married and we’ve been together eight years and I adore him he’s very affectionate and caring. The problem is in every day life I recede because his personality is more outgoing than mine. I want to be able to be myself more but I feel stifled all the time and I’m constantly second guessing myself. I can’t ever find the motivation to be social or ambitious now it feels like I’m just going through the motions but I’m numb. I want the ‘old me’ back! I don’t like who I’ve become. I know I’m not alone in this I see other girls loose their self-confidence in relationships too.

It sounds like you need more opportunities to get to know yourself better and enjoy yourself. You’ll have to use some discipline to get out of the house and make lunch dates, take classes, join a gym, travel and find ways to stimulate yourself so you can enjoy life on your own, and then with your husband.

It’s a task that is more difficult than it appears to be! Use discipline and commitment and take care of yourself by doing this. 🙂
