Hi, April. This question is a stretch for the relationship advice category but you have great judgement so here goes. I’ve been out of a relationship for about a year and most of the time I’m happy being single. But sometimes I have moments when I feel unwanted or unattractive. A few nights ago, I was alone and feeling lonely and I had one too many glasses of wine. I went on a chat room and ended up exposing my face and body on a camera to some random man from another country on the other side of the planet. It didn’t last long before I came to my senses and turned it off but now I am mortified and scared to death that he somehow recorded it and it will turn up on the Internet. I have never, ever done anything like this before and I certainly don’t plan on doing it again. I have a good life and I would be devastated if family or friends, or a boss to ran across a video of this ridiculous indiscretion. Do you think it’s likely to turn up on the web somewhere? I have never felt this bad about myself and I’m never drinking again! I’m so stupid.

Your question is a legal question, so my advice is to ask an attorney. 😉 The website you used probably has “fine print” that will help you understand what your rights are and what privacy rules apply.

There are already laws in place about drinking and driving, but maybe you need a house rule about drinking and cyber-chatting! 😕
