Member #290,810So i’ve been dating this guy for 6 months… roughly
We met on my birthday on a night out we briefly spoke and exchanged numbers we talked for a good month before going on a date, dated a few times, hung out, met eachs other friends closest, partied, etc
i even passed all my uni stuff a few weeks back and he refused to let me sit in and made me come hang out with his friends even though he had seen me the day before and got me to come out the next night. When even go get food he doesnt let me pay for the small things but i like to let him know its appreciated so sometimes i buy us the take away.
we’ve accidentally told each other we love each other on separate occasions on nights out. he has never stood me up, ignored me or anything.
So here is my problem… we both are laid back live in the moment people we havent ever really discussed what we are to each other or where this is going or what we want. he has referred to me as the girl he is seeing when we where out to one of his friends but i dont really know my status with him as we’ve never spoke about it.
Recently he’s initiated less in texting he lives a bit further out from the city i stay in in a village like place so we see each other once a fortnight.
when we talk it’s still the same as it ever was but we dont text throughout the day we text for a bit then its over. part of me is aware he is busy working (its got busy because of festival season) and when you’ve been working all day you dont want to sit glued to your phone and i appreciate he even texts me back but another part of me is just telling myself he is loosing interest, maybe hes met someone else?
its unrealistic to expect to talk as much as you did when you initially date, could he be comfortable of the notion i’ll still be here at the end of the day ? so i stick to my one text rule i never persistently text him if he hasnt replied.. ever!
I recently been told from the doctor i’ve got bad anxiety and have been given medication for it so i cant tell if its the anxiety thats causing me to feel irrational about this and its horrible because it might destroy something good.
am i being crazy ? what should i do ?

April Masini, your AskAprilKeymasterYou’re not being crazy! 😉 But you are disappointed with his behavior,😳 so you’re looking for excuses to avoid facing the reality that he’s slowed his interest in you. My advice is that you DO NOT have “the talk” with him about the status of the relationship. The reasons for this are that guys HATE having the talk and because you already know the status, and you’re trying to leverage it into more than it is with a conversation about the relationship😕 . He’s already said that you’re the girl he’s seeing — that should be a clue to you that he’s on board for dating, but not committed enough to call you his girlfriend or more. Yet. And his slowing down in interest could be because he’s working very hard now, or because he’s losing interest, or both. That’s why my second piece of advice is to try to be more alluring and flirtatious with him. Give him something to chase after instead of merely getting disappointed that he’s not chasing after you at all.😉 Use your power of allure and mystique to tempt him.😎 And lastly, sometimes relationships simply fade away because there isn’t mutual interest. It’s normal, and it’s why dating is so great — imagine if you were married and he lost interest! You’d have a lot more of a liability in front of you. So if this is a relationship that’s fading out because he’s lost interest, then be grateful for the clarity you do have, so you can decide what to do next.I hope that helps.
