My girlfriend and I met on the internet. We met about 6 months ago and have had a good relationship. We talk 5+ hours a day. There is something that concerns me though and I was wondering if it was rational to be concerned about this. She wont let me tell anyone besides my mom and sister about the relationship, and she hasnt told any of her friends or family. This is beginning to concern me. I love her very much, but I wonder if she is afraid of commitment, or if she really doesn’t want a relationship with me. She says its because she doesnt want to be judged for meeting someone on the internet, so I said we can lie about how we met. She wants to do that, but she wants to wait. I’m so confused.

Huh? 😯 She won’t LET you tell anyone about the relationship? Is she your mother?? 😆

The question is: Why do you go along with this? There’s nothing confusing here except that you’re not trusting your own (very good) instincts. You know there’s something wrong with what she’s requesting — or demanding. If after six months she doesn’t want anyone to know about the relationship, you should start wondering what she’s not telling you about herself and other relationships in her life. Red flag warning. Time to move on!
