miles_awayMember #16,405Hello, I joined the site because I just spent 7 months in New Zealand and had to leave to finish College in America. Whilst I was there I met and fell in love with someone. I am now back in the states and i cannot stop thinking about this person, eat or sleep, and i don’t want to move. I know I cannot see him for atleast 10 months. Thats a long time for a relationship. We decided not to do long distance, but I still hope to go back to him after school. However, in 10 months anything can happen. I’m so scared of losing him completely or never seeing him again. It felt so wrong to leave him. You don’t just leave someone that you find and it works so well with that you don’t think you’ll ever find anyone better. any advice?
August 10, 2010 at 4:11 pm #15233My advice is that you need to stay busy and focus on your life here — without him. ๐ณ If he wants you to stay with him, he’ll ask you to do so. So while you have feelings that the two of you should be together right now, he doesn’t. He may be ready in ten months or twelve months, but right now, he wants to take this break and see you again in ten months. So make the most of the ten months and take care of yourself until you see him again. It’s easy to spend the time until you see him worrying and fretting and making him crazy with your anxiety, but the better route is to live your life and stay busy and in the positive — and look forward to your trip next June!
๐ I hope that helps — and one of the things you can do to stay busy is to join me on Facebook!
