Dear April, my boyfriend and I broke up and we have had no contact for a few weeks even though after we broke up I wrote him a message and he did not respond to it . I would really love to get back together because our breakup was over us just both saying things we didn’t mean and I just feel like there is alot of things we need to talk about , but I do not want to seem like a psycho ex and message him or call him I want him to come to me. So should I just let things be and let him have some space? Like that old saying whats meant to be will be!

You didn’t mention your ages or how long you’d been dating prior to the break up — which would have been helpful! Regardless, if your message to him made it clear you’d like to talk and that you said things you didn’t mean, he had a clear chance to contact you. If he didn’t and doesn’t, after you’re having opened the door, I think you have to understand that your reasons for the break up may not be his, and your feelings about getting back together again may not be feelings he shares.
