It sounds like this relationship is being propped up and doesn’t have a life of it’s own. You have so many obstacles working against you (he’s too busy to see you much; your families don’t approve, you’re very different) that it seems like the best thing is to let go and move on. Relationships shouldn’t be this hard this early.
