Well its probably not what you think from the topic subject, but I do have a body part issue. I guess I’ll start from the beginning. When I was about ten I had a surgery where both toenails on my big toes were removed. It didn’t really affect my life to a great degree back then, but now it is seriously impacting my life. Of course not in any physical way, but definitely psychologically.
Basically I’ve stopped showing my feet to anyone but my family and doctors and I nearly have panic attacks if I have to go barefoot in public for any reason. So you can imagine this has also affected every (brief) relationship I’ve had.
And to make it worse, I’m a pretty good looking guy. I’m six three, 190 lbs, in good shape and girls are constantly flirting with me, but I’ve just developed this wall because eventually any relationship would lead to sex which would lead me to taking off my socks… I know it sounds ridiculous, but I’ve seen the reaction of some people when I show them and I just have this scene in my head where some girl just looks at my feet with disgust.
I have to do something. I’ve researched the topic high and low and everything says that once a nail is removed, it’s gone for good. So I need advice. I feel like I should just man up and stop worrying about it, but its always in my head whenever things start getting remotely serious with a girl.

So, I need some advice. (Primarily female advice; if it were just men on earth, I’d probably wear sandals everyday)

No woman worth her salt is going to care about your big toes since you have so many other redeeming qualities. I can tell you that all women are self conscious about SOME part of their own bodies, and it’s only with self confidence and age that they become confident enough to understand that nobody is perfect and everybody has “something.” 😆

Understand that while you’re worrying about your toes, your date or your new girlfriend is probably worrying about (choose one of the following:) her nose, breasts, bottom, waist, tummy, legs, thighs, hair, makeup, nails, clothes, shoes, height, weight — and I can go on and on and on.

Get out of your own head, and volunteer for people with real problems — like autism, missing limbs, brain damage, Down’s syndrome or any number of afflictions — and suddenly, your missing toenails are going to seem like a gift — not a takeaway! 🙂
