I am 28 years old. About 8 months ago I met my girlfriend, who is 22, online while playing a MMORPG. We became fast friends and talked a lot and texted eachothers cell phones. Six months down the road we traded pictures and talk to each other the telephone. Now we practically communicate all the time every day. The problem is my parents only recently found out I was talking to her. So they think we just met recently but that is not the case, we even regard eachother as boyfriend and girlfriend. My question is, how do I bring the fact that she is my girlfriend up to my parents this far down the road?
Oh and she lives only about 600 miles away (one state away, I live in Oklahoma and she lives in Tennessee).

    Why not just be honest?

Tell them that the woman you met online is someone you actually met 8 months ago, not recently. You can also mention to them that you consider her your girlfriend.

    Hope that helps!

I think April was right, just be honest and tell your parents the real scenario of your relationship with the girl, meeting someone in an online way is not bad.

You can’t go wrong with honesty — especially in the long run.
