My boyfriend’s ex cheated on him twice, we’ve been together a year and he says he trusts me. However, he checks my phone when I’m not around, which is fine as I have nothing to hide from him but do I tell him I know this or let him carry on until he’s satisfied I’m trustworthy. I don’t want to cause an arguement.

Tell him you know he’s doing it. Otherwise, you’re going to be playing this game beneath the surface. 😕 Tell him you don’t like it, but you understand he’s got some trust issues to work through. And then hear him out. You want to expose that you know what’s going on so you’re not hiding something from him (which is what he’s afraid of), but not make him feel guilty or ashamed. Understanding and honesty are what you need to hold as your mantras when you talk to him.

Let me know if that helps.
