bl17Member #210,055Hi April,
I’m 19 and a university student, I volunteer at my local charity shop. My problem is there’s this girl who works in the shop, she’s 16 at the minute, my major concern being that’s probably too young :S. We get on really well and chat a lot in the shop but that’s the only time we see each other, I know she likes me but I’m not sure if she’s interested in a relationship, we’ve never discussed love or anything before.Obviously I should just ask but given I only see her in the shop I’d feel wrong especially since I’m supposed to be in a volunteer supervisory role and she’s just 16..
Approaching exam season I’ve agreed to help her with some revision if she brings it to the shop, she wants to do the same subject as I do at university and she’s offered to try teach me latin. Perhaps this could lead to something I’ve chatted to her on Facebook today also.
But yeh, is there something I should be looking for to see if she’d be interested? Or is it all down to me?
Many thanks

Most 16 year olds don’t have the same types of experiences that 19 year old college students have, and for that reason, my advice is to find someone who’s 18, 19, 20, 21 or a little older — to date instead. 😉 I think you already know this. Your instincts are telling you what I’ve just said, but people want what they want — and that’s the part of you that wrote me, hoping I’d say, Sure — go ahead! Trust your instincts, find someone a little older.😀 [b]Check out my new FB Fan Page!! And If the advice you found on AskApril.com was helpful “like” me — and tell a friend!
