My girlfriend and I are both 28years old and have been dating for 9months. About 3 weeks ago we got into an argument and she said she needed some space, which i have been giving her. Even though I haven’t seen her in 3 weeks we still talk and text on the phone, but it just feels weird. I ask her what she has planned for the weekend but her plans don’t include me. Now in her defense she does have a lot of things going on her life, she has work, she is going to school, she just bought a house and she has a son. I’m not going to pressure her into seeing me, but I do miss her and I do miss her son and I’m just confused. I feel like right now now she has no desire to see me. Part of me is telling me to stay with her because I’m in love with her, but another part is telling me that maybe I should end it. She told me she doesn’t want to break-up, she loves me to much to give up and walk away. I’m willing to wait for her, but I can’t wait forever. I don’t know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It’s one thing to ask for a break to take care of business, but it’s another thing to string you along indefinitely, which is what your girlfriend is doing. 😳

It sounds like she most definitely does have a lot on her plate: a child, work, school and having just bought a new house, she sounds swamped. That said, this is a time when some couples get even closer, so her pulling away indefinitely is not a good sign.

You need some clarity from her, and it’s time for you to find out what she has in mind. If she can’t be more specific about your relationship, then sadly, I think it’s time for you to move on and find someone who is available, because she is showing you very clearly right now that she’s just not available.

    I hope that helps.
