Member #20,057I’ve been with with my fiance for 9 months and am now 4 months pregnant, last month we both moved to New Zealand becuase his dad didn’t want him living with him in England anymore, so he moved back to his home with his Mom, and wanting our relationship to last i moved with him. But now we’re here he’s a completely different person… he has alot of very flirty female friends here, that clearly want alot more than friendship with him, he says the cuddling is nothing but friendly, but if i weren’t at these parties Its clear things would get alot more serious.
It’s not the first time he’s flirted with other girls, I found messages to another girl talking about how he felt for her and things he’d like to do with her, and it was very graphic. I also discovered he was still with his ex for a month after we’d got together, but he broke up with her when he realised “how much he felt for me”, I only discoverd this a couple of months ago and decided it was better to put it in the past and move on.
But since getting here its happened again, we went to a party so i could be introduced to some of his friends and this one girl didn’t leave him alone all night and i couldnt even get his attention, i talked to him about it when we got home saying its clear she likes you and thats its unfair that he let her advance and flirt with him so much, he said it was nothing and we got into a huge fight but i later found text messages to her saying he wishes he was single so he could ‘hook up with her’ and show her ‘how amazing he is in bed’ I confronted him about it again and he promised he’d stop all contact with her completely. Well he stopped with that girl, and now theres possibly two others, the first of which is an Ex, he saved her name in his phone as ‘Brett X I D’ so he could disguise it, but when i read them its clear that XID was actually a little code, and he’s been flirting with her too, but that girl may have backed off now. The one thats worrying me most at the moment is a girl he constantly texts, instant messages and has sent half naked photos to! I first discoverd she’d sent pictures to him -luckily fully clothed- and asked him why, he said its a friend he hasnt seen in a long while and wanted to see ‘how she looks now’ but now i’ve discoverd he sent her half naked pictures! and I don’t know what to think, theres also old naked photos in his inbox of other girls he’s previously talked to.I want to know what i’m supposed to do, I’m 4 months pregnant and Its as if he has no regard for my feelings and the stress he’s putting me through, which is neither good for me or the baby, he’s been putting money away for our baby but I need more than a money commitment from him.
Am I better off leaving him and trying to go this alone or aborting it?
Or is this guy worth another chance, If he’s so eager to stray now how do i know he won’t in the future?
I just need some advice on what it is i’m supposed to do, am I being paranoid and over stressing, are my hormones sending me over the edge or am i right to feel threatened here.
please help me!September 21, 2010 at 11:29 pm #15942
Ask April MasiniKeymasterI’m sorry you’re in such a bind. What you have to realize is that this guy doesn’t want to be with you. He is clearly interested in lots of other women and there is nothing you’re going to do to change that. He isn’t going to give you the commitment you want. You, on the other hand, are four months pregnant and made a mistake to move to New Zealand to follow him. You need to go back to England and surround yourself with family and friends who love and support you and are there for you no matter what.
Focus on you. He’s not interested.
I’m sorry for you pain, but there’s no tricks here. Let me know how things go — and join me on Facebook. Here’s the link for AskApril.com on Facebook:
