Trust issues

    I have met someone special but I have a hard time trusting people. I do not want to get my feelings hurt. He says that he really likes me and wants to get know me but he can tell i have my guard up. Do you think this will kind of push him away?

    Eventually, if you don’t let your guard down, it will push him away. It’s actually appropriate and normal not to have your guard all the way down when you first meet someone you don’t know, but as you get to know them, it’s normal to trust them and the world.

    Not everyone is going to like you back the same way you like them, but that’s part of the dating game, and you have to understand that if someone doesn’t like you it’s much better for you to find out than think otherwise.
