But now that it happened, I’m curious and thinking…What is this? You’re hoping a successful LTR could happen between us too…right? How do I introduce you if we come into contact with someone I know?
Is this appropriate after a month? Is the DTR talk based strictly upon a persons situation, or should I just get that out of my head because its only been a month and not say anything?
Are you asking me, simply, why your date’s mother introduced you as her boyfriend? 😯
Because it’s really not that important how a mother of a woman you’re dating introduces you — friend, boyfriend — I think you’re looking for something that you should be relaxing about. You can take away from the episode that the mother is flexible and is trying to do the right thing. 🙂 And are you then asking how you introduce her mother if, by some chance, the two of you meet someone you know? Because, you simply introduce her as Mrs. so and so. And you can also say, this is my friend’s mother or my girlfriend’s mother. It’s your choice. It’s not a commitment. 😉 And, really, either one (friend or girlfriend) is appropriate at the one month mark in the context of a social situation. It should be clear to you both, given your ages, that you’re still getting to know one another, so the “title” you’re using to make it easier for others to identify you, isn’t as important as what’s REALLY going on between the two of you.
Don’t worry so much about this stuff. It’s not the big stuff. 😀
